My dog Holly's profile was up on their website days before she even arrived at one of their fosters, and she got a full vet check before I adopted her and was cleared health-wise. Of COURSE they need to hear that your landlord has approved you to get a dog before you can adopt one. There were no crazy rules or rude people that I ran into - if anything, this rescue's rules were more forgiving than when my sister adopted a dog from a rescue in another state. I found Last Hope's dog coordinator and fosters very communicative and useful, and clearly with the best interests of the animals at heart.
